I'm Steve Kwiatkowski, and this is my author website/blog. Here you will find updates for my latest work as well as other written work not found elsewhere. I write about the Chicago Blackhawks for Second City Hockey and about Afghanistan on my Substack, Helmand Valley Archive.

Who am I?

Born in Chicago and raised in the suburbs, I now live in California. I served 12 years in the Marine Corps and deployed twice to Helmand Province with 1st Battalion, 7th Marines (2012 and 2014). I'm married to my best friend and wife, and I am a massive hockey fan.
